The likelihood of a wet Warwick Farm track has dented trainer Greg Hickman's confidence ahead of the return of Mirjulisa Lass in Saturday's Listed Toy Show Quality.

"If we had a dry track she would be a good ride in the race," Hickman said.

"She won first-up (from a let-up) over 1400 metres at Warwick Farm last time in."

Mirjulisa Lass has not raced since the AJC Australian Oaks (2400m) in April when she failed to handle the very heavy track at Randwick.

Prior to that she showed an impressive turn of foot to score a comprehensive win in the Group One Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m), leaving the likes of Brazilian Pulse and Pinker Pinker in her wake.

However, Hickman isn't getting carried away by three-year-old form and says last season's best fillies have to prove they can measure up as mares.

"The jury is out on these horses until they come up against horses like Whobegotyou, who have done it all and been there before," Hickman said.

Mirjulisa Lass will kick off her campaign in the Toy Show Quality (1300m) on Saturday before heading to the Tramway Hcp (1400m) at Randwick two weeks later and, all being well, the Group One George Main Stakes (1600m) at the same venue on September 17.

She is nominated for the Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate and Hickman is happy to give her a chance to get there, but feels next spring will be her time.

"She has come back well but I think she'll be an even better horse in 12 months time, I really do," Hickman said.

"She grew two shoe sizes last preparation so she was still growing into herself."

Corey Brown, who partnered Mirjulisa Lass to her Group One win, will again be aboard at Warwick Farm.

She has drawn barrier four in the field of 12 which also boasts Coolmore Classic placegetter Jersey Lily, Ramornie Handicap winner Jerezana, Listed winner Red Tracer and Secret Admirer who hasn't raced since winning last year's Flight Stakes.
