Gold Coast trainer Gillian Heinrich has blamed the winter wet for her stable's current form slump but ironically a heavy track could boost her hopes with promising filly Tikit To Glory at Eagle Farm.

Tikit To Glory was Heinrich's last metropolitan winner when the filly scored at Eagle Farm on June 11 and she will be chasing a hat-trick of wins in the CE Environmental Solutions Handicap (1500m) on Wednesday.

Heinrich concedes her stable is going through a horror run but is optimistic for the future once the current wet spell ends.

"It's been terrible and I'm having a horror run," Heinrich said.

"But we can't control the weather and we can't do anything about it."

Heinrich was looking forward to some of the bigger winter sprints with her two stable stars Tour Guide and Rasmussen before Brisbane's big wet intervened.

"We were hoping those two and a few others would get their opportunity in some of the better races during the winter," Heinrich said.

"But with all the rain we've had in the last couple of months I had to send them to the paddock with about 10 other horses last month."

Heinrich has nominated Tikit To Glory for Caloundra on Saturday but will start the three-year-old at Eagle Farm.

"There's more rain forecast for later in the week at Caloundra and I reckon they might transfer some of the races to the cushion track," she said.

"If that's the case I won't take the risk so she'll run tomorrow."

Tikit To Glory produced two strong finishes to win against her own sex at Ipswich and Eagle Farm at her last two appearances, and neither victory surprised Heinrich.

"Her last win was very good and it was my last city winner," Heinrich said.

"It's been that long I can't recall who was my previous city winner."

Tikit To Glory raced on slow tracks in both her recent victories but despite her frustration with the wet, Heinrich won't mind a heavy track.

"She's won two from two this campaign on slow tracks and the wet won't worry her," Heinrich said.

"I've always liked this filly as I always knew she could gallop.

"She raced well as a two-year-old even though she was immature.

"She was never going to be a two-year-old and I always felt her three-year-old year would be better.

"I think she'll get even better with age and more maturity and she looks like running further."
