Trainer Peter Snowden is hoping to build on the two successes he has had at Group level in Melbourne this spring with eight runners at Caulfield on Saturday.

Snowden, who trains a huge string of horses for Sheikh Mohammed, has struck with El Cambio in the Group Two Gilgai Stakes (1200m) and Aichi in the Group Three Danehill Stakes (1200m), both at Flemington, and both horses are among his Caulfield runners.

Snowden was delighted with barrier two for El Cambio in Saturday's Group Three Jayco Cup (1400m).

"He should get into a nice spot just off the speed. I think he's drawn a perfect gate, especially for his first time at Caulfield around that way," he said.

"His first start in Melbourne was down the straight and this is on a turning track. It is always a plus for him drawn inside and he's as good as gold."

Snowden was also very positive about the prospects of Aichi in the Group Two International Sprint (1100m).

"He is a very honest horse. He always puts in and gives you 110 per cent and that's all you want," Snowden said.

"He's drawn a good gate (three) and will get a good run. It's a solid race, he's taking on the older horses and it's always harder outside your age bracket but he's in good order and I expect him to run well.

"We freshened him up after Flemington as he'd had a few runs and I hope he runs well tomorrow because we'll look at a race like the Ascot Vale (Coolmore Stud Stakes).

The Group One Coolmore Stud (1200m) is run at Flemington on Derby Day.

Makybe Diva's three-quarter brother Musket makes his first Melbourne appearance in the Group Three David Jones Cup (2000m) following his first-up victory this preparation in the Group Two Shannon Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill and last-start sixth to Theseo in the Group One Epsom Hcp (1600m) at Randwick.

"I'm looking forward to seeing him. His two runs have been good this time in," Snowden said.

"He gets to 2000 metres, he's in good order and has drawn a good gate (barrier one).

"We took him to Caulfield on Tuesday morning and he got around there really well, so I'm hoping he can run a good race for us."

Snowden said Sung's failure when 16th to Jewelled Gate in The Nivison (1200m) when resuming at Randwick on September 27 should be forgotten when assessing the form for the Group Two Tristarc Stakes (1400m).

"It was just totally uncharacteristic, she has never run that badly and she never looked like it," he said.

"She was a bit sore in the back after the race and we've had that treated and she seems fine now.

"Her work has been good since she's been in Melbourne so I think her last run should be disregarded. On her previous form she should be some sort of a chance."

Snowden also has Caymans and Drumbeats in the Listed Winning Edge Presentations Cup (1400m), Freedom March in the Perri Cutten Plate (2000m) and Movin' Out in the TAB.Mobi Cup (1400m).

Disciplined, who drew barrier 13 in the Pure Blonde Plate (1100m), has been scratched.
