Gerald Ryan and Glyn Schofield continued their domination of Sydney's summer staying features when Tommifrancs took the tally to four with victory in the Frank Underwood Cup at Rosehill.

The Ryan-trained Ready to Lift took out the Christmas Cup-Summer Cup double with Tommifrancs successful in the Tattersall's Club Cup before Saturday's Listed win over 2000 metres.

Schofield has been aboard for all four wins with Ryan looking to complete the set with Tommifrancs in the Australia Day Cup.

"I told Glyn to do what he did last start and it worked out," Ryan said.

"He rides these stayers terrific on a long rein and really suits them.

"I wanted someone who was nice and patient and Glyn is that.

"And it's good to have a horse like Penrickson in these races."

The Graeme Rogerson-trained Penrickson ($4.60) took up his customary role in front with Tommifrancs ($6) settling in the second half of the field.

Penrickson was still in front halfway down the straight but Tommifrancs was just winding up and made quick work of getting to the front inside the 150 metres.

He went on to beat Ausbred King ($26) by 1-1/4 lengths with Penrickson taking third another head away and favourite My Sweet Cookie ($3.80) a close fourth.

Ryan said he had targeted the feature races over the past two months.

"It has been planned," he said.

"I had these horses who seem to like running at this time of year and Tommifrancs is a perfect example.

"Hopefully he can back up again."

The Ryan-trained Synonym will be spelled after finishing with the tailenders.

Ausbred King will be one who takes on Tommifrancs again in the Australia Day Cup (2400m) at Randwick with trainer Wade Slinkard more than happy with his performance.

"The same horses will be going around again so he might as well," Slinkard said.

"I think he will be better suited by the mile and a half and he might be able to turn the tables."

Tommifrancs won the Bagot Handicap three years ago when trained in Melbourne by Lee Freedman.

His wins for Ryan include the 2008 Wagga Cup and he believes the seven-year-old still has more to give.

"He is an honest horse and tries his best all the time," Ryan said.
