Group-placed Kenny's World can press his claims for a summer trip to Brisbane at Rosehill on Saturday.

Kenny's World, from the NSW south coast stable of Graeme Murray, is racing second-up in the Wenty Leagues Club Handicap (1200m).

The five-year-old comes into the race after a second to Allervite over Saturday's distance at Warwick Farm on October 5.

That was Kenny's World's first run since his second to Vital Flyer in the Group Three Frederick Clissold Stakes (1200m) at Randwick in February.

"I'm thinking about Brisbane around January, we'll just see how he goes in his next couple of runs first," Murray said.

"He had a bone chip in his knee after the Clissold and we've given him plenty of time off and he's really appreciated that.

"He's been off the scene for a little bit and needed some match fitness and he certainly got that last start.

"It was a good run and he's done well since."

Murray says Kenny's World has plenty of things in his favour in Saturday's race where he'll be ridden by two kilogram-claiming apprentice Tommy Berry.

"He's got a nice barrier (four) and has got in pretty well at the weights with 54 kilos," Murray said.

"He'll get a nice cosy run from the alley and is a horse who puts himself in the race, so I won't have to tie Tommy down with instructions."

Kenny's World also has a strong second-up record with two wins and a placing from three starts.

Murray's father Bede bred the Kenny's Best Pal gelding who is out of the Mr Henrysee mare See The Stars.

"A couple of my mates who are first-time owners wanted to race one and we ended up with Kenny's World," Murray said.

"He's been a great horse for all of us in the short time he's been racing."

Kenny's World kicked off his career in November 2007 with a win at his home track of Kembla Grange.

He followed that up with another win at Kembla a month later before making it a hat-trick in his Sydney debut at Rosehill a week after that.

"Even as a two-year-old running around in the paddock we thought something of him," Murray said.

Kenny's World has six wins from 13 starts with two of them coming at Rosehill, one at Canterbury and another at Randwick.

Prior to the Clissold, Kenny's World was third to Gold Trail in the Listed Canterbury Classic (1100m) in January.
