Trainer Graeme Murray says honest sprinter Kenny's World is forward enough to be a genuine chance of going back-to-back in Saturday's Listed Show County Quality.

Kenny's World won last year's Show County (1200m) at Warwick Farm as a $41 chance and has been aimed at the race again this time around.

The seven-year-old hasn't started since finishing 14th in the Group Two QTC Cup (1300m) in Brisbane in early June but Murray said the gelding had done plenty of work to be ready for his race return and had pleased in a recent jumpout.

"Reading the form he probably hasn't won for about 11 months but I think he's right back to his best," Murray said.

"He hasn't missed a lot of work in the past few months, he's been in work for a fair while and is fairly fit.

"He hasn't had a run for three months or so but I'm quietly confident he can go back-to-back.

"To me it's not overly strong as to what it was last year."

Murray nominated Epsom-bound Neeson, last-start Missile Stakes runner-up Winter King and the resuming Thankgodyou'rehere as the likely horses to beat.

"But I'm happy with my horse," he said.

Kenny's World enjoyed a successful spring campaign last year, winning the Show County and the Group Three Cameron Handicap at Newcastle in consecutive starts before finishing second to Drumbeats in the Group Three Bill Ritchie Handicap.

Murray said a distance change for the Cameron Handicap from 1300m last year to 1500m this year meant Kenny's World was unlikely to defend that crown on September 14.

"After they changed the distance of the Cameron that's going to make it harder for him to go back-to-back in that race," he said.

"I was looking at that race again until I saw the distance had changed.

"We'll get through this race on Saturday first and then we'll go from there. I haven't looked much past Saturday at this point."

Kenny's World will be ridden by Hugh Bowman and was at $13 with TAB Sportsbet on Friday.

Neeson, who ran an encouraging fourth first-up from a long layoff in the Missile Stakes two weeks ago, is favourite at $2.90 ahead of Winter King ($3.60) and Thankgodyou'rehere ($4.80).
