Classy mare Set For Fame impresses trainer Peter Moody as deserving of a Group One win and may get her chance in next month's Emirates Stakes at Flemington.

The daughter of Reset suffered a virus in Sydney before mixed winter results in Queensland but bounced back to her best when resuming in Saturday's Group Two Caulfield Sprint (1100m).

Racing just off a hot speed set by Definitely Ready, Set For Fame finished off strongly in the straight to score by two lengths from Dubleanny, who was last early, with three-year-old Soul a neck back third.

"She has come back in great shape," Moody said of the four-year-old who has now won five of her 12 starts.

"We got a Group Two out of her (in Queensland) ... and she spelled really well.

"She's back on top of her game now.

"She was the class runner of the field and won in that manner."

Set For Fame was second to Rock Classic in the Group One Australian Guineas (1600m) in March and her best win before Saturday was the Group Two Dane Ripper Stakes (1400m) at Eagle Farm in June.

"I have always felt that she was a Group mare," Moody said.

"We will probably head to Flemington (Cup week) now, but what race I'm not 100 per cent sure."

He said the Group Two Salinger Stakes (1200m) was an option but the Group Three Chatham Stakes (1400m) may suit better.

"By running in that it gives you the option of looking at the Emirates on the final day," Moody said.

He said longer-term the Group One Railway Stakes (1600m) in Perth was another race worth consideration.

"I think she goes better on top of the ground," Moody said.
