Leading trainer Peter Moody says Set For Fame is in good shape for her attempt at a belated Group One win in Saturday's Queen Of The Turf Stakes at Rosehill.

A three-time Group Two winner and a Group One runner-up to Rock Classic in the 2010 Australian Guineas (1600m), the Reset four-year-old is running out of time to capture a Group One win.

"I would suggest she'll go to the Doncaster all being well and we'll probably look at Queensland and the Doomben 10,000," Moody said.

"And there's every possibility she'll head to the Queensland (Magic Millions) broodmare sale after that."

Moody said Set For Fame would endeavour to come from behind long odds-on favourite More Joyous and Melito in the 1500m fillies and mares feature.

"We'll be back off the speed again. Gai's (Waterhouse) horse Montana Flyer leads and her other mare (More Joyous) gets a soft run outside Melito and then probably us on the back of her," Moody said.

"It's going to be a big task but she's in good shape."

Set For Fame failed first-up when 16th of 17 to Eagle Falls in the Group One Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield but jockey Ben Melham told stewards she got stirred up in her preliminary to the barriers, which in his view was the reason for her poor performance.

Second-up the mare ran on strongly from the rear for third to Orbit Express in the Listed TAB First4 Jackpot Stakes (1400m) at Flemington.

"She disappointed us first-up in the Oakleigh Plate, but she was super second-up when she hit the line strongly," Moody said.

"It will be hard to gun down mares of that ilk, but she will be very strong late."

Moody's number one stable jockey Luke Nolen will again ride Set For Fame, having been aboard her in four of her five wins.

More Joyous, chasing her 10th straight win in Sydney and her fifth Group One success, is $1.22 favourite with TAB Sportsbet ahead of Melito ($6), Montana Flyer and Palacio De Cristal ($17) with Jersey Lily at $21 and Set For Fame next best at $26.
