Danza King will be David Payne's only two-year-old runner at Canterbury on Wednesday as the trainer looks to continue his winning run with youngsters.

Payne accepted with three juveniles in the opening event, the Freeway Hotel Artarmon Handicap (1200m), but said More Than Great and Midnight At Ascot would not run.

"They both drew nightmare barriers, but they are nominated for Rosehill on Saturday and that's probably where they will go," Payne said.

The Rosehill trainer celebrated the impressive victory of filly Prerequisite at Warwick Farm on Tuesday, continuing his good form with juveniles after Girl Hussler and Chitu Ma gave him a clean sweep of the two-year-old races at Canterbury on May 12.

"Things are going well and I think Danza King will run a much-improved race at Canterbury," Payne said.

Danza King, a Youthful Legs gelding, is having his third start on Wednesday.

He has won prizemoney in both of his runs with a fourth to stablemate Kimberley Kid at Rosehill on May 2 before his last-start fifth to Sikka on the Kensington track at Randwick on May 13.

That day he raced keenly, settling in second spot before taking the lead near the 400 metres of the 1150-metre race.

But he tired in the closing stages to finish 2-3/4 lengths behind the winner.

"We've taken the blinkers off him and that will settle him down a bit," Payne said.

"We're expecting him to be competitive."

More Than Great and Midnight At Ascot are nominated for a 1400-metre race at Rosehill where Payne has a total of five horses among the nominations with Danza King one of those.

Anchor Bolt is a debutant while Broadway Burlesque will be having her third start and is coming off a fifth to stablemate Chitu Ma at Canterbury.

"We've got a nice team of young horses at the moment, hopefully they can keep going well for us," Payne said.
