Debutante Danza Doll emerged as a possible Golden Slipper bolter for trainer David Payne following her outstanding win at Randwick on Tuesday.
The Dehere filly isn't nominated for the $3.5 million race on April 4 but Payne said that could all change if she measures up in her next assignment which is likely to be the Group Two Magic Night Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill a week before the Slipper.
"I'll leave it up to her owner Lex Piper in Perth, if he wants to pay up for it then we'll do it," Payne said.
"I'm favouring a run in the Magic Night at this stage and she would have to run well in that to press on to the Slipper.
"We weren't planning on the Slipper at first because she was a little backward early on but she's going well now."
Ridden by Blake Shinn, Danza Doll was second at the turn before the filly cruised to the lead shortly after straightening and she had way too much class for her rivals, going on to defeat Pearl Of The Sea by 1-3/4 lengths in the AJC Convention Centre Handicap (1000m).
Punters didn't miss Danza Doll who was crunched from $6 in to $3.50 and won in class record time of 58.27s.
Danza Doll cost $320,000 as a yearling and had a barrier trial win at Rosehill on February 23 prior to her debut.
"Blake rode her in the trial and straight away he said she's got gears," Payne said.
"She's got the makings of a top-class filly and it was great to see her put it together like that today."
Meanwhile, trainer Chris Waller will steer Snow Alert towards the Group One Rosehill Guineas (2000m) on March 28 after he fended off $1.50 favourite Hashasan by a short half-head in the Randwick Betting Auditorium Handicap (1550m).
Snow Alert, who started at $4.20, sat just behind the favourite for most of the trip before jockey Nash Rawiller made his move near the 200 metres.
Snow Alert looked home 100 metres out but Hashasan kicked back and while the Waller-trained Red Ransom colt wobbled about under topweight of 59.5kg he did enough to get the decision.
"That was a big effort with the weight," Waller said.
"His family is full of mile-and-a-quarter gallopers (2000m) and I think that will be his ideal distance too."
Jim Cassidy was stood down from riding by the AJC club doctor after just two rides at Randwick.
Cassidy told stewards he was feeling off colour after riding Kennilworth who finished third to Snow Alert.
