Trainer David Payne's youngsters continue their winter charge at Randwick on Wednesday when Danza King and Midnight At Ascot will be in action.

Payne won both two-year-old races at Canterbury on Tuesday courtesy of Chitu Ma and Girl Hussler.

"We've been having a nice run with the young horses recently like Danza Doll, Kimberley Kid and the two at Canterbury, hopefully it continues," Payne said.

Danza King, a Youthful Legs gelding, runs in the Vale Bill Whittaker Handicap (1150m) and comes into the race after an eye-catching fourth on debut to stablemate Kimberley Kid at Rosehill on May 2.

"That run the other day will bring him on nicely for this," Payne said.

"It was a very nice run and we'd like to see him win this race and then be able to put him out."

Jim Cassidy has stuck with Danza King who made up plenty of ground to finish a half-length from the winner.

Mossman gelding Midnight At Ascot makes his debut in the Surry Hills Handicap (1150m) and will be ridden by two kilogram-claiming apprentice Jamie Quinnell.

The youngster was aboard for Midnight At Ascot's commanding 7-1/2 length barrier trial win over 900 metres at Rosehill on May 1.

"He trialled well the other day and has done well since and we think he'll run a good race," Payne said.

Stablemate Big Red Cat lines up in the final race of the day, the Rosebery Handicap (1550m), after a torrid run last start in the Wagga Guineas (1600m).

He never had a crack at his opposition after striking interference near the 200 metres and finished 11th to Relentless Lad.

"It's as though he didn't go around the other day, people should forget that run, he'll go better in this," Payne said.
