A photo-finish that had punters confused at Randwick on Wednesday was an even bigger headache for stewards who were forced to declare a dead-heat because of the quality of the picture.
Racing NSW chief steward Ray Murrihy and his team were satisfied Eager Beaver and Danza King had shared first place in the Elizabeth Bay Handicap (1100m) but had difficulties with third place.
Eventually I Rule The World and Accounting were declared equal third with most believing the latter should have had the cheque to herself.
"We were not satisfied with the quality of the picture," Murrihy said.
"We asked the judge to review it.
"We have a rule that we can change the judge's decision if there is photographic evidence but the image was not good enough.
"We have spoken to the club about maybe fine-tuning the equipment which is relatively new."
The club is now the Australian Turf Club which conducted its first meeting as a merged entity at Randwick.
A double to Corey Brown on two-year-old Al's Magic Miss for David Payne and the Clarry Conners-trained Merry Anniversary kicked him clear of Hugh Bowman on the premiership and within two-and-a-half of the leader Nash Rawiller.
However Brown will forgo the chance to build on his Sydney momentum when he goes to Melbourne on Saturday to ride Shocking in the CF Orr Stakes.
"I'd love to win another premiership but it's not in my sights at the moment," Brown said.
"I'm missing some pretty good rides on Saturday, especially on the two-year-olds, but I'm hoping I will still get plenty of good rides when I'm not in Melbourne for Shocking.
"I went with my gut feeling when I decided to go to Melbourne.
"Shocking has won me a Melbourne Cup and could win me an Australian Cup and a BMW."
Brown has picked up the ride on Winter King in Saturday's Rubiton Stakes (1100m).
Winter King is trained by Payne as is Al's Magic Miss who Brown says has a bright future after her half-length win over Homedge in the New Beginnings Handicap (1000m).
Brown was forced to guide her hands and heels after he lost his whip in the straight.
"She is a very nice horse," he said.
"I dropped the stick twice. The first time it bounced back on her neck but the second time it was gone."
It was a less auspicious debut for Spain, a full-brother to Group One winner Denman, who finished fifth of the six runners without ever making a threatening move.
