Glamour mare Tuesday Joy will face a quality field when she attempts to add to her Group One tally in Saturday's Chipping Norton Stakes at Randwick.

Four other Group One winners are among the 14 entries for the 1600 metre race which signals the start of autumn racing at the top level in Sydney.

Melbourne Cup winner Viewed, Metropolitan Handicap winner Newport and Randwick mile specialist Mentality are in the mix along with New Zealanders Nom Du Jeu and Red Ruler, first and second in the 2008 AJC Australian Derby.

All going to plan, the Chipping Norton is likely to be the last time Tuesday Joy runs in Australia for some time with Dubai, Royal Ascot and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on the agenda.

However, after Saturday and the buck jumping display by stablemate and close relation More Joyous, nothing can be taken for granted.

"I'm very happy with Tuesday Joy," Waterhouse said.

"She runs in the Chipping Norton then goes to Dubai

"She may even go to Royal Ascot - we'll see."

Tuesday Joy is raced by John Singleton who also owns More Joyous who retains Golden Slipper favouritism despite plans being changed to incorporate a barrier trial and another unscheduled race to qualify.

Nom Du Jeu, who returned to Australia in the spring to run second to All The Good in the Caulfield Cup, baffled trainers Murray and Bjorn Baker with his first-up failure in the Waikato Sprint on February 7.

But Bjorn Baker, who has set up camp in Sydney to look after Fully Fledged as well as Nom Du Jeu, said the Derby winner had pleased him since his arrival.

"He came over last week and travelled well," Baker said.

"We don't really know what happened last start and hopefully he can turn it around."

Nom Du Jeu had a solid workout at Randwick on Monday and impressed track watchers with the gallop.

Red Ruler was also less than impressive in the Waikato Sprint but hopes are high he can live up to his ability this preparation.

His Group One winning John Sargent-trained stablemate Il Quello Veloce will be tested against a classy group of fillies in the Surround Stakes which attracted 25 nominations in the absence of the injured Samantha Miss.

The Liverpool City Cup (1300m) heralds the return of Doncaster favourite All Silent with 20 entries taken for the Group Three event while 19 two-year-olds were nominated for the Kindergarten Stakes.
