Multiple Group One winner Tuesday Joy has been installed the overwhelming favourite for Saturday's Chipping Norton Stakes at Randwick.

TAB Sportsbet has the last-start Apollo Stakes (1400m) winner at $2.20 for the Group One 1600-metre feature.

The closest in the market to the Gai Waterhouse-trained mare is Apollo second placegetter Hurried Choice from the David Payne yard at $7.

Stablemate Gallant Tess, who finished third to Tuesday Joy in the Apollo, is next in the betting at $7.50.

Patinack Farm trainer Jason Coyle concedes that Raheeb ($16) has been extremely disappointing this preparation but has not given up on the five-year-old entire.

"It's time for him to stand up," Coyle said.

Raheeb has not won since his slashing 3-1/4 length victory in the Group Three Cameron Handicap (1400m) at Newcastle in September when trained by Anthony Cummings.

Coyle inherited Raheeb when he took over as head trainer for Nathan Tinkler's Patinack Farm thoroughbred empire late last year.

In his first run for Coyle, Raheeb finished sixth to Burdekin Blues in the Group Two Expressway Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on February 7 after being posted wide throughout.

Raheeb followed that up with a fifth on a heavy track in the Apollo.

"There have been some excuses for him, like being caught wide and then hitting the heavy track but it's fair to say he has been very disappointing," Coyle said.

"But his work has been great and I'm just hoping he can hit back and answer a few questions.

"Fitness-wise, the run on the heavy track will bring him on massively for the mile (1600m)."

Patinack's stable jockey Peter Robl has the ride on Raheeb who drew barrier two of 12.

"It's the perfect draw, he'll be pretty close to the speed or may even lead if need be, we'll let Peter work it out on the day," Coyle said.

Stablemate Subtle Cove continues to please Coyle ahead of Saturday's Listed Wiggle Handicap (1400m).

The Mull Of Kintyre mare will need to be at her best in a field which includes outstanding mare Hot Danish and exciting last-start Triscay Stakes winner Madame Pedrille.

Subtle Cove comes into the race after her long neck win over Youthful High in the Group Two Sunline Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on February 14.

That performance followed her narrow win over Shadow Cabinet over 1550 metres at Canterbury on January 29.

"She's just been perfect this time in and I can't fault a thing with her coming into this race, she'll go very well," Coyle said.
