In-form trainer Joe Pride believes Vision And Power has nothing to fear in Saturday's Group One Ranvet Stakes at Rosehill now that Tuesday Joy is on her way to Dubai.

Trainer Gai Waterhouse had Tuesday Joy nominated for the 2000-metre feature but the mare boarded a plane on Tuesday to run in the Group One Dubai Duty Free (1777m) at Nad Al Sheba on March 28.

Tuesday Joy defeated the gallant Vision And Power by three-quarters of a length in the Group One Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on March 7.

"I was thinking of dropping her (Tuesday Joy) at the airport myself just to make sure she got there, which I heard she had," Pride said.

The Waterhouse camp has nominated last-start Australian Cup runner-up Theseo for the Ranvet but Pride points out that the Group One winner has a poor record at Rosehill.

"He's never won there from five starts, so if he's vulnerable anywhere it's Rosehill and our bloke loves the place and has won twice there over Saturday's trip," Pride said.

The Nick Moraitis-owned Vision And Power has five wins and two seconds from 11 starts at Rosehill.

And four of his last five starts at the track have ended in wins including his last go there in the Listed Parramatta Cup over Saturday's distance on February 21.

"Our horse has a massive chance, you've got to respect his top run in the traditional lead-up last start where it took an outstanding horse to beat him," Pride said.

Pride said Vision And Power had done brilliantly since the Chipping Norton and with Jim Cassidy on board, everything was in place.

"Jimmy's won four of his last five on him and knows this horse so well and that gives me even more confidence for this race," Pride said.

Vision And Power races in Moraitis' pink, white and grey colours made famous by his champion Might And Power who Cassidy rode to victory in the 1997 Caulfield and Melbourne Cups and the 1998 Cox Plate.

Pride said Vision And Power would most likely press on to the George Ryder Stakes (1500m) on April 4 and then the Doncaster (1600m) two weeks later.

"We're not paid up for the BMW but it is a $2.25 million race and there is a chance we could go there but I'm more inclined to go the other way," Pride said.

The Group One BMW (2400m) is at Rosehill on the same day as the George Ryder and Golden Slipper.
