Chris Waller has won two of the past three Doncasters and he will do everything he can to get Triple Elegance to this year's famous Randwick mile after a dominant Rosehill performance.

Triple Elegance made a one-act affair of Saturday's Winning Post Restaurant Handicap (1500m) to extend Waller's amazing run of success on his home track.

The four-year-old gelding's 6-1/2-length demolition made it 22 consecutive Saturday meetings at Rosehill where Waller has trained at least one winner.

Waller applied blinkers to Triple Elegance for Saturday's race and they clearly did the trick as he came from off the speed and towed Jim Cassidy into the race before surging clear.

Triple Elegance is owned in the same interests as Triple Honour who won the Group One Doncaster (1600m) in 2008.

Saturday's win convinced Waller to give Triple Elegance his chance to head that way.

"I think that today confirmed he's a bit better than what we thought," Waller said.

"We'll freshen him up now and get him ready for a big race.

"Take this the right way, the owners have won the Doncaster before and I'm not running Triple Honour in it this year, he's going to Queensland, so I'll be doing everything I can to get this horse there.

"His form leading into it will tell us if we've got a chance, you certainly can't say he's got a chance just on that race today."

Triple Elegance has now won five Rosehill races during Waller's streak which started with Danleigh's George Ryder Stakes win on April 3 last year.

He is a track specialist at Rosehill but has yet to crack it for a Randwick win in five attempts, despite running some good races at the venue.

Waller doesn't see Randwick as a problem, but it still didn't stop Cassidy from producing one of his classic one-liners after the race.

"Do they run the Doncaster here at Rosehill," Cassidy quipped to Waller.

"He might be a lightweight chance."

The Waller-trained stayer Beijing Boy also turned in an encouraging performance in his first start since disappointing as favourite in the Summer Cup (2400m) on Boxing Day.

He finished second and along with fourth placegetter Hawk Island will progress to the Parramatta Cup when racing returns to Rosehill in two weeks.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained Faulconbridge denied Waller the trifecta, splitting Beijing Boy and Hawk Island in third place.
