The two-year-old race at Randwick posed more questions about the Magic Millions than it answered on Saturday.

The winner Fast And Sexy is unlikely to head to the Gold Coast for next week's race, runner-up Snippets Of Glory could go if he gets into the field while third-placed Combat Kitty is also borderline for a start.

Fast And Sexy was backed late from $5 to $3.90 in the Vale John Bradshaw Handicap (1200m) with Combat Kitty the $2.60 favourite.

The Chris Waller-trained Fast And Sexy led from the outset with Glyn Schofield setting a comfortable pace on the filly.

Snippets Of Glory ($4.60) gave chase and put up a fight to go down by a half-head with Combat Kitty a half-length away third.

The winner is owned by Bob Ingham and his family and Waller said a final decision would be made by them.

"It's a tough ask to back up at the Gold Coast and I'd probably be happy for her to stay here," Waller said.

"But I respect my owners' decision so if they want to go she'll be there."

Stablemate Ingham Magic is already in Queensland waiting to see if she makes the field after her debut second last week.

Snippets Of Glory's trainer David Payne said the Magic Millions was a temptation.

"It's a $2 million race so of course we'll look at it," he said.

"If he pulls up well and looks as if he will get a run then we'll probably go."

It had always been Matthew Smith's intention to take Combat Kitty to the Gold Coast after her impressive debut win at Kembla Grange but she missed her scheduled lead-up last week when she developed a temperature.

"We'll see how she is, she'd have to pull up 100 per cent to consider taking her," Smith said.

"But if it looks as if she will get a run then we will probably take her up there on Tuesday night.

"She went well today after missing the race last week and the slow pace didn't suit her."

Racing at Eagle Farm and the Gold Coast was called off on Saturday due to the floods which have swept Queensland leaving several potential Magic Millions candidates on a limb as far as gaining a start.
