An injury-free Animando is in the best form of his career and set to continue his winning ways at a wet Warwick Farm.

Trainer Greg Ryan is a shareholder in the talented four-year-old whose career has been restricted to just six starts due to the residual effects of an injury he suffered as a yearling.

Of those six starts he has won four and Ryan believes that will increase to five after Tuesday's Lord Ballina Handicap (1200m).

"When he was a young horse he ripped most of the wall off his foot and there were doubts about whether he would ever race," Ryan said.

"It took a lot of work and he has been scratched on race day a couple of times because he has injured himself.

"But this time around I haven't had any dramas with him.

"Since his last win he is probably the best he has ever been.

"The wet track is also an advantage to him.

"I also entered him for Rosehill on Saturday just in case Warwick Farm was washed out but as long as the races are on, he runs tomorrow."

Animando won his debut in May last year but went amiss again and was spelled.

He was unplaced in two starts in November and December but hit his straps in January with victory at Kembla Grange after overcoming difficulties in running.

He backed that up on February 12 with a Wyong win on a heavy track after which he was again spelled.

Animando brought up a hat-trick when he won at Hawkesbury on May 9 to earn a berth in city class.

Josh Parr, who has ridden Animando to his past three wins, will be aboard again at Warwick Farm and has also been booked for stablemate Privileged Class in the Randwick Betting Auditorium Handicap (1600m).

Privileged Class has drawn barrier 15 and is an unknown quantity in the wet but his stablemate Tara Man, to be ridden by Kerrin McEvoy in the same race, has a victory on slow ground to his credit.

"Privileged Class has never been in the wet but Tara Man has and it should help him," Ryan said.

Tara Man is by Song Of Tara, sire of stakeswinner Spirit Of Tara who was trained by Ryan, and Sydney Cup winner No Wine No Song, both of whom were adept in the wet.

Warwick Farm was rated a heavy (8) on Monday afternoon.
