A Brisbane Cup start for Ready To Lift hinges on how the mare performs at Rosehill on Saturday.

Trainer Gerald Ryan entered her for the P J O'Shea Stakes (2200m) at Eagle Farm but said he would keep her in Sydney for the McKell Cup on her home track.

The Group Two Brisbane Cup is at Eagle Farm on Saturday week over the same distance as the 2400 McKell Cup.

"She will stay here unless the weather turns nasty again but hopefully it will get back to slow," Ryan said,.

"At this stage she is running in the McKell.

"It's a nice race for her worth $100,000 on her home track.

"If she can't perform in that then it's a waste of time going to the Brisbane Cup."

Ready To Lift was one of 12 entries for the Rosehill feature with Saturday's Randwick winner Archover also in the nominations.

Ready To Lift completed the Christmas Cup-Summer Cup double in December but has had a mixed autumn.

Her 4-1/2 length 10th in the Lord Mayor's Cup (1900m) won by Penrickson on May 16 did little to help Ryan make up his mind about Brisbane.

The mare suffered a bit of crowding early in the race in which Penrickson ran the field ragged and held off all challengers.

"She has done well since then and she likes wet tracks so hopefully we see the best of her," Ryan said.

Archover scored a narrow but tenacious win over Jordan Valley under hard riding from Peter Robl.

It was Archover's first start over 2400 metres and Gardner will monitor his progress over the next few days before committing to a McKell start.

Lyncean Academy, winner of the Rowley Mile at Hawkesbury earlier this month and sixth in the Lord Mayor's Cup is also entered for the McKell.

The open 1400 metre handicap at Rosehill attracted 16 entries including Group One winner Teranaba.

Trained by Anthony Cummings to win the 2006 Spring Champion Stakes, Teranaba was bought by Nathan Tinkler's Patinack Farm as a future stallion prospect.

He is also among the entries for Saturday's Sir Edward Williams Handicap (1500m) at Eagle Farm.

Among the 21 two-year-olds nominated for the 1400 metre race in their age Group is stakes winner Readyor.

The filly won the Listed Keith Mackay (1200m) on a heavy track at Randwick on April 13 and came back after a short break to run fourth to Kanzan at Hawkesbury on May 9.

Kanzan cemented the form when she finished strongly to win at Randwick on Saturday.
