Pressday will be out to get his career back on track in the Group One Randwick Guineas after an inauspicious start to his campaign.

The Chris Waller-trained three-year-old was sent back to the barrier trials after losing all hope when he played up at the start of the Hobartville Stakes on February 26.

Two weeks earlier he didn't have the best of luck when out of the placings in the Royal Sovereign Stakes.

He won his barrier trial at Randwick on Friday in preparation for the Group One Randwick Guineas (1600m) at Warwick Farm on Saturday.

"He trialled well," Waller said.

"He has had a few behavioural problems but we are back on top of him and the mile will suit him."

Pressday won the Group One TJ Smith at Eagle Farm in June last year but reared up in the barriers at his first spring start and finished among the tailenders in the Group One Coolmore at Flemington won by Star Witness.

He made amends with victory in the Group Two Sandown Guineas (1600m) then went for a spell.

Waller drew first blood in the battle for Group One honours over the Sydney autumn when Danleigh won Saturday's Chipping Norton Stakes at Warwick Farm.

The Randwick Guineas has been moved to Warwick Farm due to a music event being held at Randwick.

The program includes the Sweet Embrace Stakes and Skyline Stakes, qualifying races for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper.

Danleigh's Chipping Norton win was his first at 1600 metres and he will be joined in next month's Doncaster Mile by stablemate Triple Elegance who leapfrogged into the field with victory in Saturday's Liverpool City Cup.

Last year's Doncaster winner, the Waller-trained Rangirangdoo, is scheduled to resume in the Group Two Canterbury Stakes at Rosehill on March 19 which will also feature Doncaster favourite More Joyous and 2010 winner Hot Danish.
