David Payne will launch a three-pronged assault on Saturday's Group Two Ajax Stakes with Centennial Park the spearhead.
The Rosehill trainer came away with a stakes win at Rosehill last weekend when Masquerader stormed to victory in the Todman Stakes to book himself a Golden Slipper start.
Centennial Park will be striving to deliver Payne another if he can bounce back from his sixth to Walking Or Dancing in the Newmarket Handicap at Newcastle when he started favourite and had little luck.
"He had a wide run in that race, you can just disregard it," Payne said.
"He's done well since."
Centennial Park has been entered for the Doncaster Mile (1600m) at Randwick on April 17 but Payne still needs convincing he is up to that level.
"If he happened to get in then we'd probably run him and take a chance but he's not really a Doncaster horse," Payne said.
"He's more a 1400-metre horse."
The Ajax, run over 1500 metres, is one of the feature races on the Rosehill Guineas program.
Centennial Park drew well in barrier four while stayer Kettledrum, who is resuming, came up with the rails.
Payne's other runner is Newcastle Newmarket placegetter Emperor Bonaparte who will jump from barrier 11 in the field of 13.
"All is well with Emperor Bonaparte, I'll leave it up to the jockey (Kerrin McEvoy) to decide what to do from out there," Payne said.
"It's probably a bit short for Kettledrum."
Kettledrum was third to Enzedex Eagle in the NE Manion Cup (2400m) on the corresponding program last year and Payne said he was headed towards a winter carnival campaign in Queensland with the Brisbane Cup a likely target.
Promising apprentice Tim Bell will ride Kettledrum with the in-form Michael Rodd to partner Centennial Park.
Glyn Schofield has the mount on Payne's Magic Night Stakes hopeful In Expectation who the stable is hoping can "fluke" a place and pick up some valuable black type.
