Leading trainer Peter Moody is gang-tackling Saturday's Oakleigh Plate with five runners and says it is hard to split them as they are all going well and in the race for the right reasons.

"They are all there for some rhyme or reason," Moody, who has won Group One races in the past two weeks with the now-retired Typhoon Tracy (CF Orr Stakes) and Black Caviar (Lightning Stakes), said.

"They are all going equally as well. I'm known as the greatest fence-sitter in racing but they are all in the race for the right reasons."

The stable's number one rider Luke Nolen, who combined with Moody on Typhoon Tracy and Black Caviar, will pilot Avenue.

The grey mare sat off the speedy Solar Charged and held on well for second to Oakleigh Plate topweight Catapulted in the Group Three Rubiton Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on February 12, a race in which she was fifth last year.

"She's trained on nicely and has taken improvement off that so she'll certainly improve and will probably get her chance," Moody said of the Anabaa four-year-old.

A multiple Group Three and Listed winner, Avenue has drawn barrier barrier 11 in the full field of 18.

She finished 12th of 13 to Starspangledbanner in last year's Oakleigh Plate but Moody expects a much better run in this year's edition.

Group Three winner and Group One AJC Sires' Produce Stakes placegetter Hinchinbrook, formerly with Gerald Ryan, is having his first run for Moody and has drawn barrier two.

"He's going well and I'm very happy with him. He's a bit of a thinker," Moody said.

"He's a big strong colt and with blinkers on again and, with a strong rider such as Craig Newitt, he'll be off the pace and will be very strong if he runs up to his work."

Queensland jockey Shane Scriven has picked up the ride on Reward For Effort who weakened from third to run eighth of 10 when resuming in the Rubiton.

"He was a bit disappointing first-up. I thought he had the run of the race. We'll replacethe winkers with blinkers," Moody said.

Moody said the 2009 Blue Diamond Stakes winner's work at Caulfield on Tuesday morning was "super".

"If he ran up to that he'd be in this race up to his ears," he said.

Ben Melham has the mount on Set For Fame who drew barrier five, while Michael Walker rides Quezette Stakes winner Panipique who drew out in 16.

"She's a class mare and a multiple Group Two winner chasing her first Group One. She's brilliant fresh and very well," Moody said of Set For Fame.

A Reset four-year-old, Set For Fame was runner-up to Rock Classic in last year's Group One Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington.

Catapulted has opened favourite at $4.60 with TAB Sportsbet ahead of Star Witness and First Command at $7 and Undeniably at $7.50.

Set For Fame and Reward For Effort are both on the next line of betting with Eagle Falls at $13 while Avenue is at $14, Hinchinbrook at $19 and Panipique at $101.
