PETER Moody will have all guns blazing in the group 1 Oakleigh Plate at Caulfield on Saturday, reports The Age.

It says: Moody will tackle the sprint with four high-class three-year-olds in a bid to snare his second group 1 of the autumn.

His team, headed by Lightning Stakes and William Reid runner-up Wanted, makes up nearly a quarter of the Oakleigh Plate field, which will mark the return from injury of star galloper Weekend Hussler.

Flying filly Avenue, group 1 winner Headway, and the highly rated colt Tickets join Wanted, who is chasing his first win at the elite level after a string of placings against the older horses during the past six months, his latest when second to Turffontein in last weekend's William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley.

"He's come through the run really well and the back-up shouldn't be a problem. He'll run another big race after drawing ideally in barrier three," Moody said.

"Headway ran a super race in the Lightning and this will top her off nicely for the Newmarket, and Tickets is also working really well but the Newmarket will probably suit him better as well."
