Leon Macdonald finds it hard to separate his Thousand Guineas runners Majestic Music and Miss With Attitude but does believe they should swap names.

The Adelaide trainer, who is now in partnership with son-in-law Andrew Gluyas, won the race in 2007 with Serious Speed who had a similar formline and a similar nature to Majestic Music.

Miss With Attitude is on a path towards the VRC Oaks and ran a close third in the Bill Stutt Stakes at Moonee Valley won by subsequent Caulfield Guineas runner-up Carrara.

"Majestic Music's mother is a full-sister to Serious Speed and they are both difficult," Macdonald said.

"Majestic Music has a real attitude about her and should have the other one's name.

"Miss With Attitude looks as if she is a stayer in the making but the way she went the other night she has to be a chance.

"I don't think there is much between them at 1600 metres."

Stable jockey Clare Lindop rode Miss With Attitude in the Bill Stutt Stakes and also partnered Majestic Music to win the Edward Manifold Stakes.

Lindop has chosen to stick with Majestic Music and Kerrin McEvoy will ride Miss With Attitude.

Prior to her Edward Manifold victory, Majestic Music won the Morphettville Guineas (1600m) beating her stablemate by three lengths.

Chad Lever rode the winner on that occasion with Macdonald saying Miss With Attitude should have finished a lot closer.

"I don't think she would have won but she probably should have finished within a length," he said.

"She got very wide and then made up good ground late.

"There's really not much between them."

Serious Speed finished third in the Morphettville Guineas and ran second in the Edward Manifold and went on to run second in the VRC Oaks (2500m) after her Thousand Guineas win.

The David Hayes-trained Irish Lights dominates betting on the Thousand Guineas at $2.30 ahead of Sister Madly ($7) and Melito ($9).

Majestic Music and Miss With Attitude are at $12 along with the Pat Hyland-trained Jolie Brise with TAB Sportsbet.

Irish Lights is two from two this preparation and Hayes is brimming with confidence.

He said he believed Irish Lights would have been competitive against the colts in Saturday's Caulfield Guineas.

"I think the way the Guineas was run I think she would have been right in it against the boys," Hayes said.

"Her work going into the race on Wednesday is first class and she has definitely improved.

"There is a question mark at the mile if you are looking for a negative, but I can't see that it will worry her."
