A barrier trial and a possible exhibition gallop have been confirmed as the nucleus of Combat Kitty's Magic Millions Guineas preparation.
Combat Kitty, runner-up to Karuta Queen in this year's Magic Millions 2YO Classic, hasn't raced since the end of the Melbourne spring carnival.
She was withdrawn from a Rosehill trial last week because of a rain-affected track.
Combat Kitty has headed betting on the $1 million Guineas since first markets but has drifted to $5.50.
Trainer Matthew Smith has nominated Combat Kitty for a 1200m race at Rosehill on Saturday but confirmed the filly would take her place in a Warwick Farm barrier trial 24 hours earlier.
Leading Sydney jockey Corey Brown has a Guineas booking for Combat Kitty and will ride the filly in the 1200m trial.
"She won't have a race before the Guineas now," Smith said.
"After she trials on Friday she might have an exhibition gallop to tune her up."
Smith promised Combat Kitty won't be lacking in fitness when she heads to the Gold Coast.
"There is no way she would be going if she wasn't at her top," he said.
"All she had after Melbourne was two weeks in the paddock and she never takes long to come to hand.
"I've given her plenty of good gallops to get her ready."
Sydney-trained three-year-olds dominate Guineas betting with Safusa pressing for favouritism after winning a lead-up race last week.
Safusa booked his Guineas berth with a dominant win at Wyong after leading from a wide barrier.
