Nicholas Hall has had his first look at the Sha Tin track, galloping International Sprint contender All Silent on Wednesday.

The young jockey said he was impressed with the workout by All Silent on whom he won the Group One Patinack Farm Classic last month.

"I was impressed with him," Hall said.

"I suspect he ran reasonable time in the closing part of the gallop and I can tell you he did it very, very comfortably.

"He looks terrific, he's very bright and I'm starting to get excited about Sunday.

"I know I haven't been around as long as many other jockeys but he is the fastest horse I have ridden."

Australian Horse of the Year Scenic Blast had a quiet time on the dirt track with trainer Dan Morton aboard.

"He had an easy morning after a good hitout yesterday," Morton said.

"He needed a strong gallop and he came through it well.

"He's really relaxed now with plenty of company in quarantine.

"He fretted a bit in the first few days here but in the last week and a half he has really come on.

"This is a lot stronger field than the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot. There are some serious sprinters here but I still think he can win."

Scenic Blast has been overseas since he competed at Royal Ascot in June.

Australia's other Sprint contender, Apache Cat who ran third last year, also made an appearance on the dirt.

"The horse is in great order," trainer Greg Eurell said.

"All Silent is probably the horse to beat.

"He had our measure at Flemington but my horse's form at Flemington has been a little bit mystifying in the latter part of his career.

"It's a great race on Sunday. Australia has another tough competitor in Scenic Blast, too, but I'd be disappointed if Apache Cat isn't right there. He's an amazing horse."
