Rookie trainer David Pfieffer is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to win next month's Magic Millions Trophy with exciting filly Graceful Anna.

The three-year-old will leave Pfieffer's Warwick Farm stables on Tuesday night bound for Queensland where she will have her final leadup run in Saturday's Group Three Vo Rogue Plate (1350m) at Doomben.

Pfieffer said he was keen for Graceful Anna to have plenty of time to acclimatise before her grand final at the Gold Coast on January 9.

"We're going up for the Group Three race on Saturday but our main aim is the Magic Millions," Pfieffer said.

"I don't think the trip will worry her but it is a different heat at the Gold Coast.

"Being a three-year-old filly they can sometimes go off their tucker when they go away, although I can't see it being a problem for her, she is such a quiet little thing."

Graceful Anna has won three of her four starts but it was her most recent victory in the Magic Millions Stakes at Wyong that underlined her potential.

She clocked 1.07.82 for the 1200 metres, eclipsing the old track record of 1.08.24 held by quality sprinter Marwin Gold.

Third placegetter Tallow franked the form with a victory at Randwick on Saturday while Knot Out, runner-up at Wyong, finished third in Tallow's race.

Peter Robl has ridden Graceful Anna at her past two starts but has commitments in Sydney on Saturday so Blake Shinn will take over the reins.

The filly is one of 24 nominations for the Vo Rogue Plate and Pfieffer has taken the precaution of entering Graceful Anna for a 1200 metre handicap at Eagle Farm on Monday as a back up.

Also among entries for the Vo Rogue is $2.2 million colt Metallurgical, who has been paid up for a 1250 metre race at Canterbury on Wednesday, and QTC Sires' Produce Stakes winner Shoot Out.

Group One placegetter Alverta, a brilliant last start winner of the Just Now Quality, heads entries for the $200,000 Bernborough Handicap (1630m).

The Listed feature is the final leg in the three-race Doomben summer series which also comprises the George Moore Stakes won by Burdekin Blues earlier this month and Lough Neagh Stakes won by Ghetto Blaster on Saturday.

The Gillian Heinrich-trained Ghetto Blaster has been entered for the Bernborough while other notable nominations include Sydney-trained gallopers Joku for Gai Waterhouse and Baci Amore for Jason Coyle.

The Listed BJ McLachlan Stakes (1200m), formerly known as the TJ Smith Stakes, has also attracted strong interest with entries headed by unbeaten filly Military Rose.
