Graceful Anna has never let David Pfieffer down and the trainer doesn't expect that to change at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

The filly will be out to book her berth in the Group One Stradbroke Handicap in the Group Two QTC Cup (1300m), in which a number of horses are out to force their way into the field for next Saturday's $1 million race.

Graceful Anna has been to the races nine times for six wins and three placings and faces her acid test in the QTC Cup against older horses.

Pfieffer said the filly's performance would determine whether she runs in the Stradbroke on her way to the Group One Winter Stakes.

"Not once has she disappointed us," Pfieffer said.

"She tries her heart out every time. She jumps, puts herself in a race and is so honest.

"She's not one you'd back to lose a fight, she just comes out and gives 110 per cent every time."

Graceful Anna will need to call on all those fighting qualities at Eagle Farm after drawing barrier 11.

The filly is one of five runners under double-figure odds with the Mark Kavanagh-trained Catapulted the race favourite.

Catapulted has won eight from 13, including a dominant win in the Listed Straight Six (1200m) at Flemington on May 15.

Stryker defeated Graceful Anna by a length when she finished third in the Group Three BTC Classic (1350m) two weeks ago and he is among the filly's main rivals again, as is the Sue Grills-trained Border Rebel who goes to Group level for the first time.

Pfieffer said Graceful Anna was forced to do plenty of work in front last start which told at the finish.

In a good sign ahead of the QTC Cup, the trainer declared Graceful Anna, who is currently 19th in the Stradbroke order of entry, had "really come on" in the past few days.

"If she doesn't perform in this race, then there's no point running in the Stradbroke. But I'm pretty confident she will run well," Pfieffer said.

Despite being trained in Sydney, Graceful Anna's biggest career wins have come in Queensland with the filly taking out the $1 Million Magic Millions 3YO Trophy (1400m) at the Gold Coast in January.

She again showed her liking for the Gold Coast when winning the Listed Silk Stocking (1200m) two starts back, while her other stakes success was in Brisbane when she defeated subsequent dual Group One winner Shoot Out in the Group Three Vo Rogue Plate on Boxing Day last year.
