Sydney filly Graceful Anna continued the dream for young Warwick Farm trainer David Pfieffer with a dominant win in the Listed Silk Stocking at the Gold Coast.

The three-year-old lived up to her victory in the Magic Millions Trophy at the Gold Coast in January with a half-length win over Kanzan in Saturday's 1200-metre feature.

Conquering Queen was a further 1-1/4 lengths away third.

Pfieffer, who worked as a foreman for the late Tony Wildman before taking out his trainer's licence, was over the moon with the daughter of Canny Lad's win.

Pfieffer now has a difficult decision to make in the coming weeks with three suitable races to choose from at Doomben in a fortnight before making a call whether to contest the Group One Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 12.

"There's three races all over 1350 metres she can run in next start," Pfieffer said.

"Her original goal was the (Group One) Winter Stakes but I'll see how she goes at her next run before weighing up whether she should run in the Stradbroke."

"She'd only get around 51 kilos in the Stradbroke and it's a race where three-year-olds have good records."

Winning jockey Larry Cassidy has urged Pfeiffer to head to the $1 million Stradbroke Handicap.

"She's an outstanding filly and definitely up to the Stradbroke," Cassidy said.

"She does everything right in her races and would be ideally suited to a big race like the Stradbroke.

"I had to stoke her up a bit today when the pace was on and I learned a lot more how to ride her.

"She's a funny little thing to ride."

Pfeiffer blamed a heavy track for Graceful Anna's defeat when she finished third to Temple Of Boom at Eagle Farm on April 24.

"It was just too heavy for her that day but we saw what she can do here today," he said.

Graceful Anna has proven a bargain buy for her connections who paid only $38,000 for her as a yearling at the Magic Millions sales.

Saturday's success took her record to six wins and two placings from eight starts for prizemoney of $915,300.

Jockey Peter Robl offered some excuses for runner-up Kanzan who came north following her last-start seventh in the Listed James HB Carr (1400m) at Randwick on April 24.

"She went terrific," Robl said.

"I had to wait before she could get out of a traffic jam at the top of the straight and it probably cost her the race."
