Gai Waterhouse will be out to claim her seventh AJC Sires' Produce Stakes and Nash Rawiller his second in a row with More Strawberries at Randwick on Saturday.

Waterhouse has trained six of the past 10 winners of the 1400m Group One for two-year-olds and combined with Rawiller last year when Manhattan Rain won.

All six of Waterhouse's winners have either won or been placed in the Group One Golden Slipper the week before the Sires.

More Strawberries turned in one of the real eye-catching performances in the $3.5 million race at Rosehill, running home from back in the field on the inside to grab third.

She is one of only two Slipper runners backing up in the Sires, the other being the Gerald Ryan-trained Hinchinbrook who was fourth last week.

Waterhouse has won the Sires' with Assertive Lad (2000), Hasna (2003), Dance Hero (2004), Fashions Afield (2005), Sebring (2008) and Manhattan Rain (2009).

Rawiller was aboard More Strawberries in her first two starts but rode stablemate Brightexpectations in last week's Slipper.

He is excited to be back on the filly and said her performance last week didn't surprise him at all.

"She's coming off a huge run in the Slipper and 1400 metres to a mile (1600m) always looked like it was going to be a more suitable trip," Rawiller said.

"I'm really looking forward to riding her."

More Strawberries is one of five youngsters trying to break their maiden status in the Sires along with Divorces, Mafia Miss, Skorost and Gold Arena.

Mafia Miss finished fourth in the Magic Night Stakes last start and trainer Grahame Begg decided the Sires would be a better option than running in the Slipper.

"Last start she finished the race off well," Begg said.

"She may have been a little flattered by the fast speed set by Psychologist but she hasn't been too far away and she tries hard."

The Randwick trainer was also aware race favourites More Strawberries and Hinchinbrook have the task of running for the third weekend in a row on Saturday.

"I'd rather be taking them on in the third week," Begg said.

Mafia Miss has finished runner-up twice at Randwick, in the Gimcrack Stakes (1000m) and Widden Stakes (1100m).

TAB Sportsbet had More Strawberries as $2.60 favourite on Friday ahead of Hinchinbrook at $3.60.

Mafia Miss was rated a $23 chance.
