The Bart Cummings stable has told Racing Victoria (RVL) stewards it is happy with So You Think's condition going into his first-up run in Saturday's Memsie Stakes at Caulfield.

RVL stewards sought clarification on Friday from the Cummings stable on the condition of the reigning Cox Plate winner prior to the four-year-old returning to racing.

"The stable have confirmed that it established following the horse's last campaign that So You Think did not fully abduct on the left hand side of its larynx and that a procedure was performed some six months ago to correct the anomaly," the stewards reported.

"The stable have expressed their satisfaction with So You Think's preparation in the lead-up to tomorrow's New Zealand Bloodstock Memsie Stakes."

So You Think hasn't raced since finishing second in the Emirates Stakes (1600m) at Flemington last November.

The son of High Chaparral did not race in the autumn after the Cummings stable was not happy with him after he had a jumpout at Flemington.

He had two jumpouts at Flemington before his scheduled return in the JJ Liston Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield two weeks ago, but was scratched the day before the race due to the rain-affected track.
