Court Command became a father for the third time on Wednesday shortly before his departure to Sydney for the Group Two Warwick Stakes at Randwick.

Court Command served a season at stud last year and became a dad for the first time with the birth of a filly at Wattle Brae Stud near Toowoomba on August 8.

His second foal, a colt, was delivered last Saturday while his latest progeny is a filly from Blazing Saddles mare Certain Blaze.

The Certain Blaze foal is a half-sister to Gold Coast trainer Gillian Heinrich's eight-time winner Ghetto Blaster.

Trainer Liam Birchley declared Court Command was nearly another Vo Rogue after he broke the hearts of his rivals with an all-the-way win at Eagle Farm a week ago.

Court Command will be ridden by former Kiwi jockey Damian Browne in Saturday's Warwick Stakes (1400m).

Browne has never ridden in Sydney and still rides with a steel rod in his leg, the legacy of a serious fall about three years ago.

Browne, who has won two Group Ones, is only permitted to take four rides a meeting on doctors' advice while the rod remains in place.

Birchley described Court Command as a freak after his effortless first-up victory over 1300 metres when the six-year-old was burdened with 60.5 kilograms.

"To win with that weight first-up over 1300 metres was a big ask, especially with a horse that runs every yard," Birchley said.

"He seems to have come back better than ever.

"Weight-for-age will suit him on Saturday and if the tempo of the race isn't great hopefully he can lob along in front.

"I'd like to think he's another Vo Rogue but all I know is I've never had a horse like him. He can reel off quick sectionals and has a high cruising speed like Vo Rogue."

As a three-year-old Court Command won three Group races including the Group Two Stan Fox Stakes (1400m) at Randwick and Group Three Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill which earned him favouritism for the Group One Caulfield Guineas (1600m).

However, the son of Commands could finish only third to Wonderful World in the 2006 Caulfield Guineas.

Court Command's early career was with Newcastle trainer Darren Smith but it was disrupted by the equine influenza outbreak in 2007 before he was eventually retired to stud at Gary Turkington's Wattle Brae Stud.

He covered 109 mares with a 92 per cent fertility rate in his first season before Turkington decided to give Court Command a chance to win a Group One and sent him to Birchley.

Turkington said Court Command would have his next Sydney start in the Group Two Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on September 5 which will determine if he proceeds to the Group One Epsom Handicap (1600m) on the same track on October 3 or heads straight to Melbourne.

"His next couple of runs over 1600 metres will show us if he's capable of running further," Turkington said.

"If he shows he can handle the distance we've got the Cox Plate in mind with him."
