Gabrielle Englebrecht knows Dailika has been up a long time but can see no signs to suggest the mare won't continue her consistent form at Randwick on Saturday.

Dailika gave an emotional Englebrecht her first Saturday metropolitan winner when she raced to a 1-1/4-length success at Rosehill on January 15.

The young trainer is hoping for a similar result in Saturday's Sydney Carnival On Sale Now Handicap (1300m).

"I was very impressed with her last-start run and once mares like that find form they tend to keep going," Englebrecht said.

"I know it's going to be her 10th run of the campaign but she hasn't given me any indication she's not handling it."

Dailika, who hasn't missed a place in her past five starts, has been with Englebrecht since she began training as a 21-year-old at the beginning of 2008.

Englebrecht admits her soft spot for the daughter of Pure Theatre prevents anyone else from riding the mare in work.

"I'm a bit obsessive in that respect, I don't like anyone else riding her," Englebrecht said.

"She pulled up really well from her last start, in fact the first day I rode her after that win she dumped me.

"I gave her a couple of days in the pool after the race and then we were down near the river (at Warwick Farm) and a fox ran out in front of her and she dumped me. She never ran away or anything and we both came out of it fine."

The five-year-old was rated a $5 chance with TAB Sportsbet on Friday with Englebrecht wary of the Peter Snowden-trained Screen, the $3.20 favourite for the fillies and mares contest.

"It's a bit more of a step up for her, it's a similar bunch to what she raced against last time but I think Screen will be very hard to beat," the trainer said.

"I'm not too worried about the rest, and whatever happens I know she will give her all because she just tries so hard."

With good reason, Englebrecht has engaged jockey Tim Clark to partner Dailika again on Saturday.

The mare has won three of her 21 starts, while her record for Clark is two wins and a second from just three rides.

"He's got a great record on her," Englebrecht said.

"They've obviously got a bit of a bond going on and he knows how to ride her well.

"I won't need to give him any instructions when he's got a record like that on her."
