Tracey Bartley plans to have a bigger presence in Queensland racing in the future but has yet to decide just where he will be based.

Bartley's Mudgee property is still on the market and he eventually hopes to relocate to either the Gold Coast or the NSW Northern Rivers region.

"I'm currently undecided where to move to and it all depends if we sell the Mudgee property," Bartley said.

"My wife would love to move to the Gold Coast and we'll either go there or to the Northern Rivers.

"We thought about moving to Caloundra at one stage but we've canned that idea."

His brother-in-law, Port Macquarie trainer Marc Quinn who will be lending a helping hand on Saturday when Slick Sniper runs in the JH Leavy & Co Handicap (1615m) at Doomben, is an integral part of the plan.

The Quinn-trained Skullas Sister tackles the XXXX Men Of League Foundation Handicap (1200m) on the same program.

Bartley left Slick Sniper with Quinn following the six-year-old's third to Mossurmi in the Coffs Harbour Cup (1600m) on August 5.

"Marc is a trainer in his own right but my plan is to use his Port Macquarie stables as a base to shuttle a few of my horses to Queensland regularly," Bartley said.

"I want to go up and down to Brisbane from Port Macquarie with horses I think will be better suited at the weights up there.

"Ideally it would be great to have a Gold Coast stable with Marc at Port Macquarie. We could shuttle a lot more horses that way."

Sniper's Bullet put Bartley on the map as a trainer with victory in the Group One Stradbroke Handicap at Eagle Farm in 2007.

Slick Sniper, an 11-time winner, is a full-brother to the now triple Group One-winning Sniper's Bullet who has his second start this campaign in the Group Two Warwick Stakes at Warwick Farm on Saturday.

Bartley was delighted with Slick Sniper's Coffs Harbour placing from a wide barrier.

"His Cup run was very good and I'm sure he would have won with a better barrier," Bartley said.

"He was caught four deep the entire trip and was beaten less than two lengths."

Bartley expects a strong performance from Slick Sniper while Quinn is desperate to win a city race with Skullas Sister before her owners send her to the breeding barn.

Skullas Sister has won six of her 14 starts in NSW country regions and hasn't raced since finishing fourth to Lots Of Success in the Queen Of The North (1200m) at Port Macquarie in February.
