Tracey Bartley is planning a double attack on the Stradbroke Handicap with full brothers Sniper's Bullet and Slick Sniper.

Sniper's Bullet, winner of the 2007 Stradbroke, has been confirmed as a starter in Saturday's Sir Byrne Hart Stakes (1200m) at Eagle Farm while Slick Sniper runs in a class six over the same distance.

The pair pleased Bartley when they worked together between races at Dubbo on Sunday and the trainer said they would head north on Tuesday.

"They both worked very well over 1000 metres so Sniper's Bullet will run in the Sir Byrne Hart," Bartley said.

"I am also going to try to get Slick Sniper to the Stradbroke.

"He will run in one of the minor races on Saturday and if he can win a couple of races in the next few weeks that should get his rating up.

"Hopefully he can qualify, it would be really something to have the two brothers in the Stradbroke."

The program for Sniper's Bullet is more ambitious with the five-year-old to contest the Group One BTC Cup (1200m) at Doomben on May 9 and the Group One Doomben 10,000 (1350m) two weeks later.

The $1 million Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) is at Eagle Farm on June 6.

Sniper's Bullet hasn't raced since his failure in the Group Two Villiers Handicap (1600m) won by Something Anything at Randwick in December when he lost a plate and finished in front of just one runner.

"I think we probably went to the well once too often," Bartley said.

The loss came after a late spring campaign encompassing Melbourne and Perth.

Sniper's Bullet was beaten in a photo when an unlucky second to Gilded Venom in the Railway Stakes at Ascot before finishing third to Niconero in the Kingston Town.

Darley stablemates El Cambio and Forensics are also among the 18 entries for the Sir Byrne Hart along with Oakleigh Plate winner Swiss Ace and Court Command who is making a return from stud duties.

Now trained by Liam Birchley, Court Command won the 2006 Golden Rose while in the care of Darren Smith at Newcastle and ran third in the Group One Caulfield Guineas.
