With the Emirates Melbourne Cup just 6 days away, the excitement and anticipation is certainly becoming obvious at the TAB Centre. International trainers are arriving and the pace of the work is certainly stepping up, reports Racing Victoria. Tuesday's reports:

LUCKY NINE: Just a light trot over 1000-metres on two occasions. Track rider Richard So looks to be very happy with the horse with 10-days until the next run.   (Next run: Group 1 VRC Sprint Classic, 1200m, 9 November)

DANDINO: Cantered over 2000-metres this morning. Looked very within comfortable in himself and continues to build well on his Caulfield form. (Next run: Emirates Melbourne Cup, 3200m, 5 November)

SIMENON: Simenon had his first look up the Flemington straight this morning and was a bit on his toes in the new surroundings. He cantered from the winning post for a lap and quickened well down to the line. Richard Hughes has been confirmed as the jockey for the Cup. (Next run: Emirates Melbourne Cup, 3200m, 5 November)

SIDE GLANCE: A light trot over a mile then another canter from a mile. A decision on whether the horse runs on Saturday won’t be made until tomorrow. (Next possible run: Group 1 MacKinnon Stakes, 2500m, Saturday)

MULL OF KILLOUGH: A light canter over a mile this morning looking towards a start on Emirates Stakes Day. The horse continues to look well following the Cox Plate run. (Next possible run: Group 1 Emirates Stakes, 1600m, 9 November)

RUSCELLO: A very light canter from the mile-mark then another canter over 1500-metres. With trainer Ed Walker present, the horse stepped up to three-quarter pace from the 1200-metre mark. Walker said that the horse can have tendency to be lazy if he doesn’t have a training partner. Looks to be coming on from the Caulfield run nonetheless. (Possible next run: Group 2 Lexus Stakes, 2500m, 2 November or Lavazza Long Black, 2800m, 5 November)

TREVIERES: Really disappointing for the team with the injury. Trevieres will head to Kilmore today for treatment and the stable expects a six month lay off.

FORGOTTEN VOICE: A light canter from the mile-mark and clicked up from the 1200 easing to the line. Did the same again and continued nicely towarths the line.  (Hopeful next start: Emirates Melbourne Cup, 3200m, 5 Novembe or Group 2 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, 2600m, 9 November)

BROWN PANTHER: As usual a quick session for this horse cantering over a mile on two occasions. Cantered over a mile on two occasions. Trainer Tom Dascombe is expected to arrive in Melbourne on Wednesday. (First run: Emirates Melbourne Cup, 3200m, 5 November)

RED CADEAUX: Assistant trainer Robin Trevor-Jones is glowing about this horse and continues to be very satisfied with this journeyman’s progress. Cantered over a mile today at three-quarter pace. (First run: Emirate Melbourne Cup, 3200m, 5 November

STIPULATE: This horse looks to be on the improve with an encouraging three-quarter pace session over a mile today.  (First run: Group 1 Emirates Stakes, 1600m, 9 November)

MOUNT ATHOS: Craig Williams rode another track work session on this horse which included a canter over 1200-metres led off by a work pony. They did the same again with Williams keeping Mount Athos on a hold and didn’t pass the pony to the line. Williams said that he was really happy to get a feel of him sitting behind a horse today. Faster work comes up tomorrow where Craig will “test out his motor”. (First run: Emirate Melbourne Cup, 3200m, 5 November)

DUNADEN: Jamie Spencer is expecting in town over the next 24-hours to hop aboard this horse. Dunaden walked a lap today and trotted over 800-metres. Cantered off again fro the 1400-metres under a hold. (First run: Emirates Melbourne Cup, 3200m, 5 November)

HAVANA GOLD: Walked a lap this morning and cantered over 1400-metres. His work usually is similar to that of Dunaden though might have been a little less intense today. (First run: Group 1 Emirates Stakes, 1600m, 9 November)

VEREMA: A conservative morning from this mare. Walked a lap of the course and trotted over 1400-metres. (First run: Emirates Melbourne Cup, 3200m, 5 November)

TRES BLUE: Tommy Berry rode work this morning with a similar regime to the usual work for this three-year-old. “He pulled up very well”, Berry said. “One thing about him is that he is a very clean winded horse and I like that about him.” Work consisted of trotting over a mile, a light canter from the mile and a canter again over 1400-metres. CARAVAN ROLLS ON: Assistant trainer Ronan Meehan continues to be very positive about this horse’s progress saying that he is coming along “very well”. A canter over 1400-metres was the extent of today’s outing.  (First run: Lavazza Long Black 2800m or Emirates Melbourne Cup 3200m, 5 November)

VOLEUSE DE COUERS: James McDonald had his first sit on this import this morning walking a lap then a three-quarter pace gallop finishing off strongly. He said that he “was extremely happy with her. She is a very good moving mare and is a good moving mare unlike many European horses. I think there won’t be any worries with her on top of the ground.” (First run: Emirates Melbourne Cup, 3200m, 5 November)

ROYAL EMPIRE: Kerrin McEvoy rode work once again on this runner for Godolphin with trainer Saeed Bin Suroor also present. The horse cantered consistently over 1000-metres on two occasions and seemed very comfortable under McEvoy who said the horse “was nice and bright in himself” and that the main work session will be on Thursday.
