A quieter morning on track this morning after the rousing gallop from Dandino yesterday. The final touches are going on a couple of the internationals on before their Australian debuts on Saturday at Caulfield, reports Racing Victoria.

LUCKY NINE: A little over three weeks until Lucky Nine’s first Australian run and it was another easier morning for this sprinter with a light canter over 1400-metres.  (First run: Sportingbet Manikato Stakes, 1200m, 25 October)

DANDINO: After a very impressive effort yesterday just a canter over 1200-metres today. Track rider Paul Francis said that the gelding pulled up very well after the gallop. The horse seems to be responding to being at Werribee and training at a racecourse as opposed to away from one sees him trying that bit harder. (First run: BMW Caulfield Cup, 2400m, 19 October)

SIMENON: A sharper hit out from Simenon prior to Saturday’s race. His work included a light canter over a mile and worker over another mile. Track rider Emmet Mullins says that the horse is at 100-per cent of where they would like him to be for Saturday. (First run: Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes, 2400m, 12 October)

SIDE GLANCE: Steady work over 1600-metres today after a harder hit out with Dandino yesterday. Track rider Leanne Masterton says that the horse was “on his toes this morning and had a good blow after yesterdays work”. Masteron made also the comment yesterday that he felt like he needed that hit out. Side Glance will get it’s first gallop at Moonee Valley on the amended date of 17 October and is expected to have another harder hit out with Ruscello this Saturday. (First run: Sportingbet Cox Plate, 2040m, 26 October)

MULL OF KILLOUGH: A strong canter over a mile this morning on his own. As reported yesterday, track rider Abi Harrison is pleased with the horse so far and is also looking forward to heading to Moonee Valley for a gallop next Thursday. (First run: Sportingbet Cox Plate, 2040m, 26 October)

RUSCELLO: Cantered over 1200-metres this morning in two stints. Leading towards a first run next Wednesday, it is expected that Ruscello will work with Side Glance on Saturday morning. Track rider Sammy Cobley says that Ruscello tends to race very handy to the pace when he is fresh and Kerrin McEvoy riding is a plus in tempering that.  (Firs run: 0-84 Handicap, 2000m, 16 October)

TREVIERES: A final main hit out for this horse before racing on Satuday. Cantering for a mile then galloping for another mile, the horse continues to look well. Speaking to connections, Trevieres’ racing pattern is to settle midfield and has a good turn of foot. Has a preference for firmer ground. (First run: Group 1 Toorak Handicap, 1600m, 12 October)

FORGOTTEN VOICE: A very quiet morning from Forgotten Voice after stepping it up yesterday morning. Track rider Ryan O’Reilly says that the horse was fresh and well this morning. Just a slow canter of less than a mile today. Connections are holding out hope for a start in the Caulfield Cup.  (Hopeful first run: BMW Caulfield Cup, 2400m, 19 October)
