The NZer (5) Veyron 25/1 deserves serious attention in race 6, the Warwick Stakes (Grp 2, wfa) 1400m at Warwick Farm. The 8YO was only 1.8 lens behind Pierro when 8th/12 in the Grp 1 wfa Geo Ryder 1500m at Rosehill on Apr 6, and before that was 2nd/10 to Ocean Park in the Grp 1 wfa NZ Stks at Ellerslie 2000m on Mar 9. He’s had one run back from a break, finishing 5th/8 over the Ruakaka 1400m on July 13 (2.3 lens). At today’s long odds, he’s worth specking. The big threats are (3) Rain Affair 9/10 and (14) Streama 7/2.
