Look out Brisbane, Sid's on the way...Co-trainer Bill Wilde says his Warrnambool Cup winner Hissing Sid will head north for the Brisbane Cup 2400m. He reckons the prospect of a wet winter carnival is just too tempting with such an in-form wet-tracker in his stable.

The countdown to Singapore's two International races on May 16 has begun in earnest with the arrival of the first international runner on Thursday morning. Australian KrisFlyer International Sprint contender Gold Trail landed without a hitch at around 5am on Thursday from Melbourne. Accompanied by his groom Amanda Shotbolt, the Hussonet five-year-old was a picture of calm as he was given a quick examination by Singapore Turf Club veterinarian Dr Nienke Oostra at Changi Airport, before he was floated to his new home at the International Stables at Kranji. Dr Oostra says: ' I must say he's quite a striking individual. He travelled very well and he looked very well and relaxed at his arrival.'
