The John Size-trained Classic Jewellery should get the race set-up that suits him best and break into Class Two as a winner in tonight's Choi Ying Handicap (1,650m) at Sha Tin.
Most of the runners in the night's fast-class event are coming out of race 396 over the same course and won by Aomen in mid-February, but they could find this a different style of race and so will Classic Jewellery (Douglas Whyte).

In that race, King Of Reason worked hard in the first 150m to cross to the lead ahead of Berio and Jun Gong, appeared to get very enthusiastic in his work thereafter and kept rolling at a strong speed.

The likes of Silver Grecian, Noble Alpha (Tim Clark), Keen Wongchoy (Derek Leung Ka-chun) and Free Judgment were sitting in the back half of the field saving their energy before rushing home to fight out the minor money.

In tonight's race, King Of Reason looks the only leader in the small field and can probably get the front without much bustle or any need to string them out mid-race as he did that day.

And that scenario should play into the hands of Whyte and Classic Jewellery. He looks the first horse trailing the leader able to get into a nice rhythm in what may be a carbon-copy of his Happy Valley win in November.
