TRAINER Peter Moody has been granted permission to bring a battered and bruised Typhoon Tracy back to Melbourne after she was galloped on and buffeted in last Saturday's Doncaster Mile, but he believes she will race again in the spring, reports The Age.

It says: Veterinary surgeons in Sydney gave Moody the all clear to float the mare back to his Caulfield stable after her defeat as favourite in the group 1 1600-metres race at Randwick.

''She's pretty stiff and sore but she's tough as well. While we'll spell her, there's no physical reason she can't pursue a spring campaign,'' he said.

Another star galloper heading to the paddock is the Gai Waterhouse-trained Theseo, who leaves her with just one group 1 runner, Boto Vermelho in the Champagne Stakes, on the final day of the Sydney autumn carnival. Nash Rawiller is free to stick with Doncaster Mile winner Rangirangdoo in Saturday's Queen Elizabeth Stakes following the decision to spell Theseo.

However, trainer Chris Waller will monitor Rangirangdoo this week before deciding whether to back him up.
