Trainer Guy Walter has ruled Streama out of the Group One Doncaster Mile after the filly failed to figure in Saturday's Coolmore Classic.
Walter was testing the three-year-old's Doncaster prospects in the Coolmore in which Streama finished fifth at her first attempt against older horses.
The 2011 Flight Stakes winner is now likely to line up against her own age in the Group One Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) on April 7 to take on last-start Randwick Guineas winner Mosheen.
Heading to the Vinery also opens up the option of going to the Australian Oaks (2400m) two weeks later.
"She will not go to the Doncaster and she will probably run in the Vinery in two weeks time," Walter said.
"She proved yesterday she's not up to the older horses. The weights of the Doncaster are way too compressed anyway. It's hopeless for a young horse and she won't be going there."
Streama was asked to carry 55kg in the Coolmore and is among a host of horses on the limit of 52kg for the Doncaster for which the spread of weights is only six kilograms.
Walter said Streama had pulled up well from Saturday's effort where she raced close to the speed before battling to the line just over three lengths from the winner Ofcourseican.
"I think our tactics were wrong yesterday," Walter said.
"She ended up having to chase a fast speed out wide with no cover. We were hoping she would be box-seating or something like that but it just didn't work out that way."
Walter said the main things he took out of the race were that Streama was much more relaxed this time in and was not yet ready to take on the best mares at near level weights.
Walter is set to have strong representation at Rosehill on Saturday for the second day of the Sydney carnival.
Doctor Doom will line up in the Group One Rosehill Guineas (2000m) while the Warwick Farm trainer will have three runners - Foxstar, Dancing Attendance and Brightest - in the Group Three Epona Stakes (1900m).
Balmont runs in the Group Three Birthday Card Stakes (1200m) and Al Dhafra and Hood will contest the Group Two Ajax Stakes (1500m).
Doctor Doom disappointed in the Randwick Guineas (1600m) and Walter had no explanation for the performance of the Spring Champion Stakes winner.
"It was a disappointing effort in the Randwick Guineas and we hope that the tempo of a 2000 metre race will suit him better on Saturday," Walter said.
