Glamour mare Tuesday Joy will have competition in Dubai later this month from an unexpected source with Australian Cup winner Niconero to make the trip.

Trainer David Hayes confirmed Niconero would run in the Dubai Duty Free (1777m) on March 28 despite his previous problems when he travelled there a year ago and was unplaced in the race.

After his win in Saturday's Australian Cup (2000m), Hayes said he had impounded Niconero's passport but had a change of heart overnight.

"He will go to Dubai and if he performs well then hopefully we can get him to Royal Ascot," Hayes told Sky Channel's Racing Retro.

There is a $500,000 bonus on offer for the winner of the Australian Cup and the Prince Of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.

Tuesday Joy confirmed her ticket to Dubai with victory in Saturday's Group One Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m) at Randwick.

She was ridden by Corey Brown standing in for Nash Rawiller who was in Melbourne to ride Theseo but Darren Beadman has right of refusal for Dubai.

The Hong Kong based Beadman will also spend some time in Sydney this month with Tuesday Joy's owner John Singleton booking him for Golden Slipper favourite More Joyous.

The filly will run in a barrier trial on Friday following her buck jumping exhibition in the Silver Slipper and will then contest the Reisling Stakes on March 21.

The booking of Beadman is another blow to Rawiller who had to settle for a close second on Theseo in the Australian Cup.

Rawiller, who is a stable rider for Gai Waterhouse, won the Stocks Stakes on Tuesday Joy in the spring but Beadman was aboard for her Group One wins in the Coolmore Classic, Ranvet Stakes and BMW.

Singleton's racing manager Duncan Grimley said Tuesday Joy would not go to Royal Ascot with the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on her agenda later in the year.

Danny O'Brien has ruled 2007 Caulfield Cup winner Master O'Reilly out the Sheema Classic at the Dubai meeting following his disappointing eighth of 12 in the Australian Cup.
