Clarry Conners will have two chances to win a fifth Golden Slipper after confirming both Decision Time and Georgette Silk will run in Saturday's $3.5 million showpiece.

Gai Waterhouse is also likely to have two starters in Brightexpectations, a devastating winner of the Pago Pago Stakes, and filly More Strawberries.

The Magic Night Stakes runner-up should sneak into the final field, announced on Tuesday, and Corey Brown has been booked for the mount.

Nash Rawiller will stick with Brightexpectations while Conners has confirmed Craig Williams has retained the ride on Decision Time after connections paid the $150,000 late entry fee by Monday's deadline.

Conners, who has won Slippers with Tierce (1991), Burst (1992), Prowl (1998) and Belle Du Jour (2000), has snared Glen Boss to partner Georgette Silk.

Boss was suspended for careless riding at Cranbourne on Sunday but has lodged an appeal which will be heard by Victoria's Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Thursday.

Conners reported Georgette Silk had come through Saturday's Magic Night Stakes in good order after carting the field up to tearaway leader Psychologist and only tiring late for sixth.

It was the filly's first run since she copped a battering when third to Solar Charged in the Kindergarten Stakes at Warwick Farm on March 6 and Conners said the effort would do her the world of good.

"She has pulled up really well, she hit the front too far from home when that tearaway leader went out and she hadn't raced for four weeks before that," Conners said.

"She was galloped on fairly badly in the Kindergarten which is why she hadn't been able to run.

"She had to have that run on Saturday."

Conners rates this year's Golden Slipper (1200m) as one of the more open in recent years but believes punters have got it right by installing the unbeaten Military Rose as favourite.

However, unlike many trainers who believes Tuesday's barrier draw will be all-important, Conners is more concerned his jockeys ride the race to suit his horses.

"I fear the Queensland filly the most," Conners said.

"They all say how much the draw means but I think it's more about whether the horse is ridden right."

Decision Time was one of three late entries for the Slipper on Monday along with Todman Stakes winner Masquerader.

As expected, owner David Moodie paid $150,000 to secure Crystal Lily a berth but did not pay the late entry fee for Saturday's Magic Night Stakes winner Willow Creek.

Darley also decided against running Blackball, who was not among the original Slipper nominations, but they will still be represented in the world's richest two-year-old race by up-and-coming filly Obsequious.
