Peter Snowden is confident Skytrain has taken no harm mentally from a fall at Gosford in June as he prepares to resume racing at Rosehill on Saturday.

The talented galloper hasn't started since falling in the Listed Takeover Target Stakes (1200m) on June 23 which resulted in his jockey Kerrin McEvoy spending four months on the sidelines with a fractured vertebra in his back.

Skytrain will line up in the 1200m Open Handicap with Corey Brown to take the ride.

McEvoy has successfully returned to the saddle in recent weeks but will be riding at Sandown on Saturday.

"Skytrain has had two trials and gone OK in them, he seems to have taken no ill-effect in his mind (from the fall) and I'm happy with him," Snowden said.

The five-year-old son of Lonhro really started to turn the corner last preparation with three straight wins at Rosehill leading into the Gosford race.

Snowden is hoping this preparation will present further opportunities to test the sprinter to see what level he can get to.

"I think whatever he does on Saturday he'll improve on, but he's certainly forward enough to run well," Snowden said.

"Time will tell (if he can go to another level), we just started to get to that last time when the fall happened.

"Hopefully this time through we can give him a good preparation and see what level he is. To me I think he's probably around Listed to Group Three level."

The Takeover Target was Skytrain's first try in stakes company and the sprinter could be given another chance to prove himself at that level in his second start this preparation.

Snowden has earmarked the Group Three George Moore Stakes (1200m) at Doomben on December 4 as a possible next target.

"That's what I'm looking at the moment, so if he runs well on Saturday we'll certainly look at that," the trainer said.

Last Saturday at Randwick Snowden produced well-related two-year-old Aerobatics to win impressively on debut.

At Rosehill, Snowden has Eleuther among the nominations for the 2YO Handicap (1100m) but was still undecided on whether the colt would take his place.

Eleuther is by Commands out of dual Group One winner Mnemosyne who was trained out of Crown Lodge by John Hawkes.

"He trialled OK at Warwick Farm the other day," Snowden said.

"He's still a bit immature this bloke, and I'll make my mind up tomorrow."
