Epsom Handicap winner Secret Admirer has been locked into an autumn program top heavy with Group One assignments.

As he prepares for Secret Admirer's return to racing on Saturday, trainer Grahame Begg says no less than four Group One events will figure in the mare's first autumn campaign.

There is much for Secret Admirer to live up to in coming months because her previous two preparations delivered Randwick feature mile wins in the Flight Stakes and Epsom Handicap.

Secret Admirer is nominated to resume in the Group Three Southern Cross Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.

She will then contest the Group Three Liverpool City Cup before starting a Group One run against her own sex in the $600,000 Coolmore Classic at Rosehill on March 24.

Her main autumn focus will be the Doncaster Mile and Begg will use the Queen Of The Turf or the George Ryder Stakes as the mare's lead-up run to the $2 million race.

Secret Admirer, beaten less than two lengths in last year's Cox Plate, will be given another chance to use her turn of foot over a middle distance in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) on the final day of the Sydney carnival.

"Everything is right for her to kick off on Saturday ... she has been going along beautifully," Begg said.

Begg said Secret Admirer, a last to first winner of the Epsom at Randwick, had filled out during her break.

"She has fully matured now," he said.

Secret Admirer will be making an overdue autumn appearance because she didn't race as a two-year-old and injury ruled her out of last year's carnival.

The Southern Cross Stakes attracted 13 entries on Monday with nominations extended for 24 hours.

Begg will also start Cabernet in the Listed Triscay Stakes on Saturday, confident the mare can break through for a stakes victory.

Cabernet, who is at her best on top of the ground, hasn't raced since winning over 1400m at Rosehill on January 21.

"She deserves a stakes win and I've freshened her up for this race," he said.

Cabernet has the 54kg limit in the Triscay with Group One-winning Melbourne mare Yosei heading the weights for the 22 entries with 61kg.
