Sacred Kingdom has confirmed his ranking as the best sprinter in the world with a comprehensive win in the Hong Kong International Sprint at Sha Tin leaving the Australian challengers in his wake.

The local hero scored his second win in three years in the race when he beat One World by half a length with Joy And Fun completing a Hong Kong trifecta a neck away third.

While it was a success for Hong Kong, the trio of Australian runners disappointed with two of them causing concern.

Reigning Horse of the Year Scenic Blast bled, incurring an automatic three month ban while Damien Oliver dismounted from Apache Cat after the line with worries over his action.

"He's just a bit sore in one leg and I didn't feel it until after the line but I just wanted to make sure he was okay," Oliver said.

"I don't think it is anything life threatening and I don't think it really affected him in the run.

The other Australian runner All Silent didn't have a lot of luck after getting back to last and finishing midfield without being fully tested.

"He really got a check just after jumping and then when he was trying to get his run in the straight he got a chequered passage again," trainer Grahame Begg said.

"It hasn't been a great day for Australia with the other two pulling up with problems, but mine is fine and we will go home and look for another race."

However Australian jockeys did run the quinella in the race with Prebble beating Darren Beadman who rode One World.

Prebble declared that he expected the success after Sacred Kingdom's last piece of work.

"He is a world champion and I knew the other day they wouldn't beat him if I was patient," Prebble said.

"They went fast in front and I got off their backs and just counted to ten then let him go and I knew nothing would catch us.

"I expected this so it is very satisfying."
