Trainer Mike Moroney will rely on Prix Du Sang as his sole contender for Saturday's Group One Queensland Oaks following a tragic trackwork accident which resulted in Revoke being put down.

Revoke fractured a hind leg after completing her work on the course proper at Eagle Farm on Tuesday and had to be euthanased.

Moroney won the Queensland Oaks two years ago with Eskimo Queen who subsequently lost her rider when she started favourite in the Group One Queensland Derby (2400m) at Eagle Farm won by the Bart Cummings-trained Empires Choice.

Revoke recently arrived from New Zealand for her Queensland Oaks attempt following a last-start win over 2200-metres at Te Aroha on May 2.

It was the filly's second victory from only 11 starts and Moroney gave her a big chance in the 2400-metre feature.

"Revoke was our number one contender for the Oaks this year and it's a big blow to lose her," Moroney said.

"We had Revoke entered for the AJC Oaks but she never made the field.

"Daffodil won the AJC Oaks but she only just beat her in a fillies race in New Zealand.

"She couldn't have been more impressive winning last time by more than two lengths pulling up."

Moroney is hopeful Prix Du Sang can now follow in the footsteps of Eskimo Queen and win the Queensland Oaks.

Prix Du Sang, a Craig Williams mount, won over 1300-metres at the Gold Coast on May 2 before stepping up in distance to finish eighth to fellow New Zealand filly, Awesome Planet, in the Group Three Doomben Roses (2020m) 10 days ago.

"Prix Du Sang is not a bad second stringer to have for the Oaks," Moroney said.

"She was one of three runners I thought were unlucky in the Doomben Roses. I liked the run of Think Money and Ekstreme who both could easily have won.

"Prix Du Sang has improved a lot since she's been here but she hasn't had the racing Revoke had back home.

"On their New Zealand form I thought Revoke was just ahead of Prix Du Sang."

Meanwhile, Sydney filly Jessicabeel is also out of the Queensland Oaks with an elevated temperature.

Trainer John O'Shea reported her white blood cell count was up leaving him with no alternative but to abort her Oaks mission.

Jessicabeel earned a tilt at the Queensland Oaks following her impressive victory over 1800-metres at Rosehill on May 2.

The daughter of Zabeel produced a courageous performance in her Brisbane debut with a game sixth in the Doomben Roses.

Sydney rider Hugh Bowman was engaged to ride Jessicabeel in the Queensland Oaks.
