Joe Pride is enjoying the summer sun but looking forward to a wet autumn with stable stars Vision And Power and Sacred Choice who will both be aimed at the Doncaster in April.

The winner of the 2009 George Ryder Stakes-Doncaster Group One double, Vision And Power missed the spring with Pride and owner Nick Moraitis agreeing he needed a long spell after a fruitless autumn-winter campaign.

He is now back in full work and will step out in a barrier trial next week ahead of his return to racing.

Sacred Choice rose to the occasion in the Myer Classic on a heavy Flemington track on October 30 with a 4-1/2 length win over Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracy.

"Sacred Choice is back in work getting ready for the autumn," Pride said.

"She is a progressive mare and she is being st for the Queen Of The Turf and the Doncaster.

"She should get into the Doncaster with a nice light weight.

"Vision And Power has had a nice long break and will be ready to trial at Warwick Farm on the 10th.

"I'm hoping for a wet autumn.

"Vision And Power was lacklustre last preparation and needed a rest but I'm very pleased with him now.

"He's back and Jimmy's back."

Jim Cassidy is Vision And Power's regular partner and will return to the saddle this week after serving a two month suspension for a marijuana offence.

Although Sacred Choice won her Group One on a heavy track, six of her seven other victories have been on dead or good.

Her leadup to the Myer was a third placing in the Epsom Handicap won by Captain Sonador on a dead surface.

Five of Vision And Power's 10 wins including the George Ryder have been on heavy tracks.

While Sacred Choice and Vision And Power are in full swing, the career of Neeson is at a standstill.

The four-year-old finished 10th in the Epsom and has since undergone surgery to remove bone chips.

"Neeson is still in the paddock," Pride said.

"He's had chips removed and it will be a while until he's back."
