Fitness, consistency and blinkers are the key words Peter Moody uses for his three runners in the Group One Coolmore Stud Stakes.

Fastnet Rock colt Wanted spearheads the Moody team at $7.50 in TAB Sportsbet's open market for Saturday's 1200m Group One sprint at Flemington while Headway is at $13 and Tickets the outsider of the trio at $23.

"Wanted probably has the best form of the three horses and he has been specifically aimed at this race," Moody said.

Damien Oliver will be chasing his fourth Coolmore Stud win when he takes the reins for the first time on Wanted who has been competitive at weight-for-age since finishing second to stablemate Black Caviar in the Group Two Danehill Stakes (1200m) on September 5.

Moody said Wanted should have won when beaten a length when fourth to Danleigh in the Group One Manikato Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley while last start he was third in Lucky Secret's record-breaking Schillaci Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield.

"Last start he made his run to the line with Apache Cat (second) and he has since franked the form winning at Moonee Valley last Saturday," Moody said.

"The horse is in great shape and his fitness level is 110 per cent."

Last month Moody switched Headway from a Thousand Guineas campaign to a Coolmore Stud program when he was convinced that she would not get 1600 metres this preparation.

Headway, who was runner-up in the Golden Slipper Stakes, has only missed a cheque once in her career and last start chased home her stablemate Avenue in the Group Three Thoroughbred Club Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield.

"There are not too many better fillies around," Moody said.

"She is very honest and has never been unplaced at stakes level over 1200 metres."

Headway is a backmarker and the straight track will suit her.

Moody has taken the advice of jockey Steven Arnold to put blinkers on Tickets for the first time on Saturday.

"Steve said he would love to ride this horse up the straight with the hood on as he reckoned he would explode," Moody said.

Tickets has been freshened since his last-start sixth in the Caulfield Guineas (1600m) which wasn't run to suit and worked against horses trying to run on.

"This race was always in the back of our minds as a freshen-up for him," Moody said.

"On Saturday, smothered back in behind them and hopefully produced late we might see the best of this colt."
